Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 30, 2025

Who we are.

Tegore is provided by Odapt Inc. ("Odapt," "we," "us," or "our"), a Delaware C-Corporation. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain personal information when you use our websites, apps, and services (the "Services").

Scope.

This Policy applies to information we process in connection with your use of the Services. By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1) Who uses Tegore; Children's privacy

Tegore focuses on Algebra I & II learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent (or authorized school consent).

  • If you are under 13, a parent/guardian must create and manage your account and provide required consent.
  • If we learn that we collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will delete it.
  • Parents/guardians can review, delete, or withdraw consent by contacting us at founders@odapt.ai.

If a school or district contracts with Odapt and designates students to use the Services, Odapt acts as a school official for that limited purpose and processes student information only to provide the Services and as permitted by the school agreement and applicable law.

2) Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run, support, and improve the Services.

Account & Contact Information.

Name, email address, parent/guardian email (when required), age band or date of birth (only if needed to verify eligibility/consent).

Learning Activity.

Content you or your student generate (answers, scores, progress, timestamps).

Voice & Transcripts (if you use voice features).

Audio you choose to record, and transcripts derived from that audio, to provide explanations, feedback, safety measures, and quality improvement.

Device & Usage Logs.

IP address, device/browser type, operating system, app/page views, diagnostics, crash logs, and timestamps—captured by our systems without cookies or third-party SDKs.

Payments.

If you subscribe, our payment processor (e.g., Stripe) processes your payment method; Odapt does not store full card numbers.

Support & Communications.

Messages, requests, and preferences when you contact us.

We do not use browser cookies, mobile advertising IDs, or third-party analytics/advertising SDKs.

3) How we use information (purposes)

We use information to:

  • Provide and secure the Services (accounts, authentication, personalization, fraud and abuse prevention).
  • Deliver learning features (progress tracking, recommendations, reporting).
  • Operate, maintain, and improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Provide support and communicate about updates, changes, and service notices.
  • Process payments and comply with legal obligations.

For users in the EEA/UK, our legal bases include contract, legitimate interests (e.g., service improvement and security), consent (where required, such as parental consent for under-13 voice use), and legal obligation.

4) How we disclose information

We do not sell or share personal information (including for cross-context behavioral advertising).

We disclose information only to:

  • Service providers acting on our instructions (e.g., hosting, payment processing, email delivery, customer support). They must protect information and use it only to provide services to us.
  • Schools/districts (for school-managed accounts) as permitted by the school agreement.
  • Authorities or others when required by law, to protect safety, security, or our rights, or in connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger or acquisition); if such a transaction occurs, we will ensure successor obligations consistent with this Policy.

We may use or share de-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual.

5) Your choices & rights

Email.

You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails via the link in the message.

Access/Deletion/Correction/Portability.

You can request access to your information, ask us to delete it, correct it, or provide a copy. We will verify requests and respond as required by applicable law.

Parental rights.

Parents/guardians can review, delete, or withdraw consent for a child's information by contacting founders@odapt.ai.

Because we do not use cookies, advertising IDs, or third-party SDKs, there are no cookie settings or targeted-ads opt-outs to manage in the Services.

6) Voice, audio, and transcripts

If you enable voice features, you consent to the capture, processing, and storage of audio and related transcripts to:

  • respond to your requests and provide explanations/feedback,
  • maintain safety and security (e.g., misuse detection), and
  • improve feature quality (e.g., accuracy, latency, UX).

You may disable voice features in the app (where available) or request deletion of audio/transcripts via founders@odapt.ai. For children, these uses occur only with required consent (parental or school).

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No system is 100% secure. If we learn of a security incident impacting your data, we will notify you and/or authorities as required by law.

8) Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Examples:

  • Account data: retained while your account is active; deleted or de-identified after inactivity or upon request, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Payment records: retained as required for tax/audit.
  • Voice recordings/transcripts: retained for the periods needed to provide and improve voice features and for safety/security, then deleted or de-identified.

You can request deletion at founders@odapt.ai (we may retain limited records as required by law).

9) International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required (e.g., EEA/UK), we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers and honor applicable rights.

10) School and district use (FERPA/COPPA)

When a school or district contracts with Odapt and designates student users:

  • The school directs the processing of education records and is responsible for required notices/consents.
  • Odapt acts as a school official with a legitimate educational interest, using student information only to provide the Services, for safety/security, and to meet legal obligations.
  • Upon written request from the school, Odapt will delete or return student personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.

Additional school-specific terms may be set in a data protection addendum.

11) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice (e.g., in-app or email). The "Last Updated" date shows the latest revision. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
